Savin is a chartered counselling psychologist registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and BPS (British Psychological Society). Savin has over 17 years of experience working within the mental health field in a variety of mental health settings. In addition to being a chartered counselling psychologist, she is also a lecturer in psychology at the University of West London, and works as a guest lecturer at other universities in her expert field. Savin is a research supervisor, overseeing Ph.D. students who are completing their doctoral research in the field of trauma and mental health. Savin is also engaged in research in the area of mental health and is currently collaborating and leading a number of research projects. You can also see Savin in the media providing expert psychological advice and understanding in the fields of domestic violence, honour based violence, force marriage, and female genital mutilation.
